Quillabamba is the capital of the province of La Convención, in the department of Cusco. Known as the City of Eternal Summer, it enjoys a warm tropical climate all year round, with temperatures ranging from 22°C to 32°C.
Unlike Cusco or Machu Picchu, which become crowded during long holidays, Quillabamba offers an authentic, less crowded experience surrounded by extraordinary nature: waterfalls up to 75 meters high, natural pools, Amazon rainforest, unique flora and fauna, and the best Chuncho cacao in Peru.
In addition, April marks the beginning of the dry season in the Cusco jungle: safer trails, clearer waterfall waters and sunny days that are ideal for trekking and outdoor swimming.
