Code of Conduct against the Sexual Exploitation of Girls, Boys and Adolescents (ESNNA)

PREAMBLE

At Quillabamba Travel, we are committed to promoting and developing tourism in an ethical and sustainable manner, in accordance with current regulations in Peru, especially Law No. 29408 – General Tourism Law and Law No. 30802, which establishes conditions to ensure the protection of girls, boys and adolescents. Through this Code of Conduct, we reaffirm our responsibility in the prevention of the Sexual Exploitation of Girls, Boys and Adolescents (ESNNA) in tourism, following the guidelines of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR).

I. OBJECTIVE

The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to establish clear and precise guidelines to guide Quillabamba Travel and all its employees in the fight against ESNNA. Our commitment is to ensure a safe tourist environment, safeguarding the rights of girls, boys and adolescents and preventing any form of sexual exploitation.

II. SCOPE

This Code is applicable to all employees, suppliers and contractors of Quillabamba Travel, as well as any service provider directly or indirectly linked to our company. It also extends to all tourists who interact with us.

III. PRINCIPLES

  • Best interest of girls, boys and adolescents: At Quillabamba Travel, we recognize that girls, boys and adolescents are full subjects of rights that must be respected and protected. We are committed to prioritizing their well-being in all our activities.
  • Girls, boys and adolescents as subjects of rights: We understand that girls, boys and adolescents have civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights that must be respected. At no time will they be considered objects of exploitation or discrimination.
  • Sustainable tourism development: We are committed to promoting tourism that is not only economically viable, but also respects human rights and protects the integrity of local communities, especially that of girls, boys and adolescents.

IV. DUTIES

  • Maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards ESNNA, ensuring that no employee, tourist, or supplier encourages or allows acts of sexual exploitation of minors.
  • Do not allow girls, boys or adolescents to enter accommodation rooms unaccompanied by a legally accredited responsible adult.
  • Immediately report any act or suspicion of sexual exploitation of minors to the competent authorities.
  • Regularly train all employees on current regulations regarding the prevention of ESNNA.
  • Refrain from offering in tourist programs or activities any type of content that promotes, directly or indirectly, ESNNA.
  • Place information material related to ESNNA prevention in a visible place in our facilities.

V. DISSEMINATION AND MONITORING

  • Internal dissemination: Quillabamba Travel is committed to disseminating this Code of Conduct among its employees, suppliers and clients, ensuring that everyone is informed and acts in accordance with our policies.
  • Monitoring: Compliance with this Code will be monitored regularly by the management of Quillabamba Travel. Any breach will be punished in accordance with internal and applicable legal regulations.

VI. BREACH

Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct by any employee or supplier of Quillabamba Travel will result in disciplinary action, which may include termination of the contract or employment relationship, without prejudice to corresponding legal actions.
